Recommit to Your 2025 Vision

Are you locked in?

It’s time to think about the rest of the year. Labor Day is Monday, cooler temperatures are upon us, and before we realize it will be time for Christmas parties and then 2026.

Take this opportunity to lock in to your goals for 2025 and reach your goals. Most people will wait until September 30th to close out Q3 and think about their Q4 focus. But not you. Let’s use this long weekend to find an hour and focus in on the next 4 months.

Here’s a simple 3-step framework you can use this weekend to refocus your energy, prepare for the rest of the year, and stay locked in!

Step 1: Review

Take 30 minutes to look back at your year so far. What goals did you set in January? Where are you on track, and where are you behind? This isn’t about judgment, it’s about clarity.

Step 2: Refocus

Pick the one to three priorities that will make the biggest impact between now and December. Many leaders try to tackle too much in Q4, which leads to scattered results. Limit your focus so you make meaningful impact where it matters.

Step 3: Recommit

After reviewing and refocusing, make a clear commitment to the priorities you’ve chosen. Share them with your team, put them on paper, and hold yourself accountable. Better yet - hire me as your coach to help you finish the year well.

The truth is, the next four months will pass quickly whether you’re intentional or not. The leaders who step back, refocus, and recommit now will be the ones celebrating meaningful wins in December—not scrambling to catch up.

Take the time this weekend to get clear, and give yourself the gift of finishing 2025 strong.

If you know what you want to accomplish but aren’t sure how to get there, that’s where I come in. My coaching is designed to give leaders clarity, accountability, and momentum so you can actually follow through on the priorities you set.

If you want to finish this year strong instead of just busy, let’s talk. I’d love to help you get there.

Phil

"In a season obsessed with more, leaders must learn the art of discerning enough." More is not something we shy away from in modern society. Thanksgiving in particular always lends to more food. I'm sitting here eating my 5th meal of Thanksgiving leftovers, and I'm not even sad about it. It could get tiring soon, but not likely as it begins to take on different forms, such as our favorite: turkey enchiladas. I'm also seeing all the Black Friday advertisements with emails and text messages...

"Most of what fills a day - talks, tasks, and duties - is just noise pretending to be important." - Alan Watts We all know that we need to work on what's important. Yet we all tend to get caught up in the urgent and overwhelming tasks of the day. It takes intentionality to focus on the important. It takes effort and some discomfort at times. I sometimes need a reminder and a refresher on the benefits of these tough actions. One thing I almost always return to is the Eisenhower Matrix, which...

Full calendars, pending deadlines, unread emails, app notifications, and that text message that just dinged. Where's your attention? I observed a brief conversation between two managers this week that got sidetracked at least 5 times by glances at phones. It was like sitting outside my body, realizing that I have the same problem. I think I'm focused and know my priorities, but it quickly gets snatched away by the next ding or shiny idea. Shiny Object Syndrome isn't new. We've been facing it...
